Hi friends
I’m a solo developer currently about 75% done building an invoice generator SaaS for freelancers and small business owners.
It started as a simple tool for myself something minimal, privacy-focused, and quick to use. But as I kept building, I realized… there are tons of invoice tools already out there 😅
Now I’m wondering is it still worth finishing and launching it?
Here’s what my version focuses on so far:
Minimal and fast UI
Simple subscription-based pricing (no complex tiers)
Privacy-first (no tracking, no data selling)
Freelancer-focused workflow — quick client and invoice creation, no bloat
I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel just make invoicing cleaner and lighter for solo creators and small businesses.
But I’d love to get your perspective:
Would you still use a new invoice generator today?
What would make one stand out for you in 2025?
If you’ve built a SaaS before how did you validate it before launch?
Any feedback or advice from fellow builders would mean a lot 🙏

Absolutely worth it even in 2025, there’s always room for fast, focused, privacy-first tools that skip the bloat. Simplicity and trust are huge differentiators, especially for freelancers. Keep going clean execution beats crowded markets every time.
Really appreciate that!
You’re right there’s still a big need for fast, simple, privacy-focused tools. I’ll keep pushing for a clean, minimal experience. Thanks for the encouragement!
I am pretty sure you are an Indian. So I will suggest one feature Integration with ZOHO office suite. Currently ZOHO and other made in india softwares are a hot trend in twitter(currently know as X.com). You can add an option to integrate those softwares in your SaaS. Like get all orders from ZOHO's sheet app then convert them into invoice at bulk.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion
Good idea! Bulk invoice generation from spreadsheet apps sounds useful. I’ll explore adding it to the roadmap thanks for the insight!
if you can offer something that no one offers then you can even build a TODO SaaS too. You have to find out what is not provided by other SaaS but you can provide.
