Personally I find a contract to be the best motivator. Find yourself a freelancing project with a difficulty slightly above your comfort zone and force yourself to study in order to fulfill your contract. I still have nightmares of not being able to finish my side of the bargain but it effectively gets me up and going to work on saturday mornings.
