I got tired of begging for Android testers — so I built the solution 🐝

Hey DEV community! 👋 I'm Sushmita, a founder based in the UK.

Let me tell you a story that every Android developer knows too well...

You've built your app. You're excited. You go to publish on Google Play and then — boom.

Google requires 12 testers for 14 consecutive days before you can launch publicly.

So you do what everyone does:

  • Post in Reddit threads 🙏
  • Spam Facebook groups 😅
  • DM strangers for their Gmail
  • Get ghost testers who never actually test
  • Start all over again

It's exhausting. And it makes no sense — there are thousands of Android devs all facing the exact same problem!

So I built BetaTribe 🐝

BetaTribe is a free credit exchange where Android developers test each other's apps.

How it works:

  • ✅ Sign up and get 5 free credits
  • ✅ List your app (-2 credits)
  • ✅ Test other devs' apps to earn more credits
  • ✅ Use credits to get your 12 testers for 14 days
  • ✅ Everyone wins

No paid tiers. No gatekeeping. Just devs helping devs.

Where we are today

We launched today on Product Hunt 🚀 and already have 5 founders with 4 apps listed.

Visit duration on the site is averaging 9 minutes — which tells me the problem is real and people are genuinely exploring the solution.

What I'd love from this community

Honest feedback! 🙏

  • Does the credit system make sense?
  • What would make you sign up?
  • Any Android devs here who've faced this problem?

Check it out at https://betatribe.app — would love your thoughts!

And if you're on Product Hunt today, a upvote would mean the world 👉 https://www.producthunt.com/posts/betatribe
