Swipe Again for Swipe Again

The Dashboard Is a Story

A recovery dashboard is read the way a headline is read: the first screen decides what the reader believes the month was. Lead with activity — attempts made, emails sent, texts fired — and the team learns to generate activity. Lead with outcomes — recovered, saved at the exit, ended honestly — and the same team learns to generate outcomes, which is a different and quieter discipline.

Order is argument. Outcome first, because that is what the revenue felt. Effort second, because it explains the outcome without impersonating it. Mix third — the decline families, the platforms, the timing — because that is where next month's decisions live. A dashboard that buries any of the three is not neutral; it is a story told in the wrong sequence, and merchants will act on the story they were given.

Swipe Again arranges its reporting like a narrative with the ending labeled first, inside a recovery flow whose every step is logged. The test we use: could a stranger retell the month accurately from the first screen alone? If not, the numbers may all be present — the story is still missing.
