One of the things that unnecessary disturb me is seeing LinkedIn profile links that look like this one:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/foo-bar-15037626/
That trailing number just drives me crazy.
I know it would be much easier just to change my attitude, but then I think a nicer URL is good for you too.
A nicer LinkedIn URL will help you remember it.
Luckily you can easily change your public profile URL. LinkedIn has the instructions here
So that user could change her link to either of these
https://www.linkedin.com/in/foo-bar/
https://www.linkedin.com/in/foobar/
and if those are taken then she could change it to
https://www.linkedin.com/in/fbr/
or
https://www.linkedin.com/in/foo-bar-the-great/
