CSS Only Calendar (Datepicker)

I originally intended to write this in PHP (The HTML controls), but decided to translate, then improve in Pug.

I'm just playing with HTML, and CSS loops.

I did not put too much animation in this example, because it will cause a slowdown on rendering.
