Hi🥳 I'm a freelance web developer in Japan. I have develop the service called Terecode, which is a social media service for engineers.
In this post, I want to introduce Terecode and if you are interested with it, please let's try to use Terecode.
How the service is Terecode?
Terecode is the service for engineers to easily, comfortably and quickly output things that they learned on work or study or that they have ideas.
Motivation of my developing Terecode
It's said that for engineer it's very important to output things learned.
There are many services to be suitable outputting like above. For example, they are Medium, Dev.to or etc...
But when we try to post content to them, we tend to spend many time writing as perfect and many as content possible.
I want to quickly and easily write content.
Some social media services like X(Twitter) or Bluesky seem to be nice choice to quickly and comfortably write content.
But writing content with codes on them would be difficult because they have the limit of word count that is too short to write with codes or because they don't support syntax highlighting on codes.
Due to above reasons, I have develop Terecode to be able to easily, quickly like social media output content including codes.
Things you can do on Terecode.
You can post short content with codes using Markdown until 1000 charactor count on Terecode.
And it support syntax highlighting for many languages.
As follows is Editor screen on Terecode.
As follows is Preview screen.
To apply syntax highlighting, you need to add a name of the language extension to code block like as follows.
The above example is applying syntax highlight to typescript code, so it added ts of typescript extension to code block.
If you want to know the current languages supporting syntax highlighting, please see here.
Timeline screen is like as follows.
Finally
Terecode aim the place where engineers can quickly and easily output things like note, so you don't need to spend many time writing content.
Terecode has few features yet because it recently was released.
I want to continue developing energetically in the future.
If you're interested, please give Terecode a try.
If you have any feedback, please contact me through the link below. I would be very happy to hear from you, even about the smallest things.
Thank you for reading this far.
