Hello :) I have a degree in philosophy and always considered myself rather right-brained, but a few months ago I lost my job (thank you, corona v.)... Making (not so) long story short, for now, I'm totally into web development and UI. I love to learn new things and to make my code work as intended. Life can be very surprising :)
So here I am - a bookworm who loves to draw animals - digging deeper into front-end world, hoping to find a job in IT and meet some nice people.
I'm kind of a bookworm myself also so welcome to the dev club!
Hello
Hi!

interesting background story, I am also new myself but so far this place seems awesome. Welcome! :)
Hi I am Elias :) I am on dev.to since some days.
I am a former Google Engineer and want to improve my technical writing as well as keep up to date with new tech.
I write about how I got into Google, what Codesphere (why I left Google) does, tech (highly opinonated lol) and whatever stupid idea comes to my mind :)
Looking forward to get to know you all :)
Likewise am hoping to improve my technical writing. Excited to take a look at your writing!

Hi, my name is Dominik and I code mostly in the world's best coding language (Python). My background is strongly mathematical (I hold 2x MSc. in related fields). I have a wide range of interests spanning from coding related to trading on financial markets/cryptocurrencies to topics like automation, RPA, AI, AGI, automated reasoning, machine learning methods, data science, quantum computing, and computer games.
I am going to share here some content regarding either tutorials for some of the named topics or some general (prevalently Python or mathematical) hacks. I will be very happy if you follow me here and on my github github.com/DovaX.
Stay tuned for what is coming!

I am here just to find an interactive community where I can know some more fellow developers. :)
Hey! I'm Donny, been doing web development for the past 3 years and it's just amazing. I'm so obsessed that I gave up my dream of becoming a musician. I've been giving lessons online here and there, and I would like to get to a point where I have "all" the knowledge that I need to give proper talks for other developers. But before I get there, I believe I need to be more involved with the community, so besides being a mod on a 80k+ discord server for webdev, dev.to is the second community I'm joining!

Hi, I am also new here. I have been doing CRM and development interchangeably for the past four years. Recently I decided to start writing some posts about what I learned and hence it was only natural for me to finally sign up for an account. So far this place is awesome! :)
Hey 👋
I'm ClassyBear
I came to this platform to provide and help the Spanish community with tutorials, because is not as big as the English community even tho is the second most spoken language.
I do not have a PHD in teaching but people says I explain things very well.
Hi everyone!
I completed a Ph.D. in Instructional Design in 2014, and have been practicing and teaching instructional design, mostly in higher ed, since 2010. I have always been deeply engaged with technology, and am well versed in a wide variety of different technologies and tools, especially in the design and performance fields. I made my first (super hideous) web page about 15 years ago using HTML from a book, and have used these and other skills for years in document design and publishing, online course design and development, and a thousand other places over the years.
About a year ago, I decided to formally pursue front end web development, and have been working through courses on Udemy, Treehouse's Front End Track, and building things on my own in pursuit of this.
Each time I learn something new or get a little more immersed in this field I get more and more excited! I am not 100% sure whether it will make more sense to transition fully into web development, or to establish a niche somewhere between eLearning / Instructional Design and web development, but I really want to find a way to make a full transition.
I am excited to learn from and with you, and to share my own experiences in a closely related field!
Hey! My name is Anne Cocquyt and we organize a "Find Your Co-founder Lounge" on 1/22 12-1pm PST as part of my startup/community the GUILD.

Namastey!

TDD and API design are dear to my heart as well as working on open source software. Recently I contributed to the book “97 things every java developer should know” as well as being a technical reviewer of several books. Hi! I just joined DEV to reignite my love for programming & computer science. I started feeling lonely every time I code something.. because it's just me with my computer, and no one to share my enthusiasm with. So I made the mistake of judging the CS field itself, instead of making the effort to join a community that I can share my passion with.
Looking forward to meeting you all :)
