Before fixing anything, count what guessing costs:

40 orders/month × $2–$5 error = $80–$200 phantom profit every month

Shipping is not overhead. It is COGS that changes net on every platform.

Reseller shipping audit checklist

If you sell on more than one marketplace, run this audit:

[ ] Do you log every label cost against a SKU in one expense sheet?
[ ] Can you see shipping COGS per platform (Shopify vs eBay vs Poshmark) in under 60 seconds?
[ ] Do you tie labels back to sales-log rows so net profit is real?
[ ] Are Shopify Shipping charges in the same CSV as eBay/Poshmark labels?
[ ] Do you review shipping % of gross monthly — not just revenue?
[ ] Does aging inventory account for capital tied up in unsold items you already shipped labels for?
[ ] Is there one CLI or sheet that aggregates all three — not three carrier apps?

If you checked "no" on more than two, you are overstating profit every month.
