đŽ A full open-world AAA game is now running on phones.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered, Feral Interactive's mobile port, is out on Android and iOS. I recorded Part 1 with no commentary on an iQOO Neo 7 to see how it plays on a touchscreen.
What stands out from a mobile tech angle:
đą A premium release with a one-time price instead of a free-to-play model
đšī¸ Customizable touchscreen controls, with gamepad support for players who want it
đī¸ A full open-world city with missions, driving, and weapons and vehicles
Quick specs: the Android version requires Android 13 or later and about 19.3GB of free space. I played on 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Porting a console-era open-world game to mobile means rethinking controls, storage, and device support, and releases like this show how far mobile hardware has come.
