Here is another update for uloggd, focused on improving discovery, consistency, and overall usability across the platform.
Version 1.1.4 introduces a new set of home sections designed to make the experience feel more alive and more connected to your social circle. The homepage now includes Popular Among Friends, highlighting games that are currently getting the most attention from people you follow. A new Friends Reviews section has also been added, giving more visibility to recent reviews from your network in a more curated and varied way. In addition, the homepage now features Popular Lists and Popular Screenshots, helping surface community content more naturally.
This update also improves how visual content is presented throughout the platform. Screenshots now use a dedicated reusable card structure, making them more consistent across profile pages, likes pages, and homepage sections. Interaction around screenshot content has also been refined, including support for likes directly on screenshot cards.
Several UI components were also reviewed and cleaned up. Like buttons now use a more cohesive visual style across the site, with a heart based interaction pattern that better matches the overall product language. Cards for lists and tierlists were updated to properly support direct like interactions without conflicting with card navigation. This also resolves previous interaction issues where certain overlays made actions harder to access.
On the game side, search and discovery were improved by reducing repeated hardcoded logic and centralizing reusable search behavior. Search results now better surface game types, helping distinguish between base games, expansions, DLC, remasters, and similar content with more clarity.
There were also improvements behind the scenes. The new home feeds for reviews, screenshots, and lists were built with faster data pipelines, better caching, and more balanced distribution logic so that one user or one item type does not dominate the entire experience. This makes social sections feel more varied and more useful.
Finally, several interaction bugs were fixed across horizontal carousels and hover based content, resulting in a smoother browsing experience, more reliable card actions, and better consistency across desktop and mobile layouts.
