Multiplayer Random Name Picker – Spin the Wheel Together

Multiplayer Random Name Picker – Spin the Wheel Together

Random name pickers are everywhere — but almost all of them are single-player.
I wanted something more transparent, fair, and fun, especially for group decisions.

So I built a Multiplayer Random Name Picker – Wheel of Names, where multiple users can join the same room and spin the wheel together in real time.

🤔 Why Multiplayer?

In many real-life scenarios, randomness needs trust:

Online giveaways

Team assignments

Classroom activities

Game nights

Fair decision-making among friends or colleagues

With single-user tools, only one person controls the spin. That can raise doubts like:

“Did you rig it?”
“Spin again 😅”

Multiplayer solves this by making the process open and shared.

🚀 How It Works

The experience is intentionally simple:

1️⃣ Create a Room

One user creates a room and gets a unique room link.

2️⃣ Invite Others

Share the room link with friends, teammates, or participants.
Anyone with the link can join instantly — no signup required.

3️⃣ Add Names

All players can see the same wheel and the same list of names.

4️⃣ Spin Together

When the wheel spins:

Everyone sees it happen live

Everyone sees the same result

No one can secretly influence the outcome

🎯 Total transparency. One shared result.

✨ Key Features

🔗 Room-based multiplayer system

👥 Multiple players in one session

🎡 Real-time synchronized wheel

🔍 Transparent & fair randomization

🧠 Great for games, giveaways, and group decisions

📱 Works on desktop and mobile

🧪 Use Cases

Streamers doing live giveaways

Teachers picking students fairly

Friends deciding “who goes first”

Remote teams assigning tasks

Party games with zero drama 😄

🛠️ Why I Built This

There are tons of random name pickers out there — but very few consider group trust.

This project was about:

Fairness

Shared visibility

Removing doubts

Making randomness social
