A short clip falls apart when the prompt tries to do too much. I keep a four-part checklist and change only one part between drafts.
The four parts
- Subject: one thing in frame, plus one concrete detail.
- Camera: one move, such as a slow push-in or a locked wide shot.
- Motion: one action, not a sequence of events.
- Length: the first draft stays under a few seconds so the motion stays coherent.
Write those four as a single paragraph. Generate once. If the result drifts, edit one part only.
A template
Subject, one detail. Camera move. One action. Soft daylight, no text overlays.
Example: a ceramic cup on a wooden desk, slow push-in, steam rising once, soft morning light, no captions.
If the cup warps, shorten the action before adding adjectives.
Where I try the drafts
I have been running this checklist on the Wan 3.0 video generator. The public page is enough for a short draft, with no install.
