One Tap to a Full Storyboard: Tap Words, Not Type Prompts

If you can tap a few words, you can plan a video. That is the promise of Storyboard Workshop, an independent, free Chinese storyboard prompt tool. It is not an official tool of any AI video product. You give it a one-sentence theme, tap a few words from its word tree, and it returns a complete storyboard table.

Each shot in that table carries a visual, camera movement, duration, prompt, narration, and transition. You then generate shot by shot, in shot-number order, and stitch the clips into a finished video. You do not need to write a long prompt from scratch.

Lazy mode, by design

The laziest path is also the point. In lazy mode, you pick just one direction, or type only a one-sentence theme, and the tool completes the rest of the combination automatically. The result is still a complete storyboard table, not a vague idea. After generation, you can still edit the words by hand, so automation is a starting point rather than a locked decision.

Tap, don't type

The word tree keeps choices small on purpose. It shows only one category at a time. Swipe left or right, or use the buttons, to switch categories. Tap a word and it is added. Words with an expand mark can be tapped again to reveal related words. Selected elements are written into fixed anchor points, and words for shot type, camera movement, shot size, and composition go into the camera-movement description of every shot.

Two features remove the usual friction. Cross-category search searches all categories at once, so you do not need to flip through cards to find a word. The quick-access area works the same way: one tap adds a frequently used word. While you swipe, the selected-words bar stays pinned at the top, so you can always see what you have already chosen.

Remembered on your device

Your choices also survive a return visit. Selected words are remembered in this device's browser localStorage only, so they are still there next time you open the tool. Nothing here claims to store them on a server or another device. If you do not choose a style, the default is a cinematic feel.

This workflow fits how current AI video works. A single AI generation remains short: Kling 3.0 allows up to 15 seconds at a time, Veo 3.1 produces an 8-second segment that can be continued, and Seedance 2.5 allows 30 seconds for a single shot. A longer film therefore still needs shot-by-shot breakdown, generation, and stitching. Sora has been discontinued, and this tool does not list it as a target AI.
