For over seven years, I have built a deeply rewarding career as a software engineer. I love the code I write and the systems I build. Yet, my true calling has always been anchored in a childhood dream that drifted away amidst the practical responsibilities of growing older: mission control, aerospace R&D, and the future of human spaceflight.
For a long time, that dream was quiet. But as I get older, I realize that the technical path I chose is actually the perfect gateway to what I ultimately want. The pull toward the stars is no longer something I can ignore.
Leading with your heart brings a profound sense of purpose and a realization of what we can achieve when we are truly dedicated.
Making this transition will likely be the greatest challenge of my professional life. I know it will bring setbacks, intense pressure, and steep learning curves.
To meet this challenge, I am committing myself entirely to the transition. Every day, I am doing the work to close the gap: studying the unique demands of aerospace software, learning the physics of flight, practicing hardware-level programming, and researching the next frontier of space exploration systems.
It may take years but I am fully prepared to face those obstacles and keep moving forward. At the end of the day, my ultimate goal remains unchanged: I want to actively contribute to the future of sending humanity into the cosmos.
