Three AI kittens in a row, the smallest one in a black studded belt, turning around to shake its hips to "Suave" by El Alfa. That is the Suave Cat Dance, a TikTok format that spread in late October 2026. Reposts credit the kittens to the @meowtakeover account, and the dance song is a sped-up version of El Alfa's 2017 dembow track.
The question I keep seeing is how to get your own cat into it. I built AI Dance Trend, one of the tools below, so I'll say where it falls short too. Prices were checked on 2026-11-06.
1. Use the CapCut "Suave Cats Dance" template
Reposts say a CapCut template for this trend appeared around October 29. It is the quickest way to post something, but the dancers are the original three kittens cut out over your own background photo. Your cat is not in it.
- Price: CapCut's free plan includes free templates; Pro is USD 19.99/month and unlocks all premium templates (CapCut pricing).
- Good for: a fast repost of the meme itself.
- Short on: your own cat is not the dancer.
2. Cut out your cat and animate it by hand
You can cut your cat out of a photo and key it over a background in any editor, then add the sound. That keeps your cat recognizable, but a still cutout doesn't stand up and shake its hips, so the result is a slideshow joke rather than the dance.
- Price: free if you already have an editor.
- Good for: a quick joke with no AI involved.
- Short on: no real motion.
3. Write the prompt yourself in an AI video generator
Image-to-video models can make a cat stand on its hind legs if you describe the scene and the moves carefully. CapCut Pro, for example, lists its Seedance 2.5 video model from USD 0.12 per second for the first month, so a 10-second clip is around USD 1.20 before retries (same pricing page as above).
- Good for: full control over the scene.
- Short on: you write the prompt, usually need several tries, and the cat, belt and backup kittens have to be described every time.
4. Trend-template sites
Sites such as MakeViral offer hundreds of trend templates (393 on the day I checked), and the ones I saw start from about 40 credits for one photo. You pick a template and add a photo, with no prompt. I did not find a Suave Cat template on its homepage on 2026-11-06, so check the cat category yourself.
- Good for: a wide choice of trends in one place.
- Short on: credit-based pricing is harder to translate into a price per video, and a given trend may not be there yet.
5. AI Dance Trend (mine)
AI Dance Trend has a fixed Suave Cat Dance effect. You upload one clear photo of your cat with its whole body in frame, pay once, and get a 10-second vertical 720p MP4: your photo for a beat, then your cat standing in the same room in a studded belt with two generated backup kittens. It uses Seedance 2.0, ends up without a watermark and comes with an original dembow-style beat, so you add "Suave" in TikTok yourself.
- Price: USD 9.90 for one video, USD 19.90 for three, USD 29.90 for five. One-time payment, no subscription.
- Good for: your own cat as the lead without writing a prompt.
- Short on: it only does fixed dances, so no custom choreography. It is not a face swap, so the backup kittens and room are newly generated and will not match the original clip exactly. Pay-per-video also gets more expensive than a subscription if you want dozens of clips.
Which one should you pick?
- Want to repost the meme today: the CapCut template.
- Want to experiment and don't mind retries: write your own prompt.
- Want your own cat as the lead in one go: a fixed effect like the one above, or a template site if it carries this trend.
If you try the effect, a sharp, well-lit photo with the whole cat visible matters more than anything else. There is a short guide to the best cat photo on the site.
