An SEO proposal tells you a lot about the person who wrote it. These five red flags are worth checking before you sign.
What to watch for
- A guaranteed first position. Nobody controls Google results. A serious proposal promises growth in overall performance, not a fixed rank.
- No baseline or KPIs. Without a starting point and targets, nobody can tell later whether the work helped.
- A vague scope. An "SEO package" without a list of tasks is a package you cannot check.
- Bulk links as the main deliverable. Hundreds of cheap links are a risk, not a strategy.
- Reports you cannot verify. Insist that results are visible in your own Search Console and Analytics.
