Career tests have existed for decades.
They usually work like this:
- Answer a set of fixed questions
- Get a personality label or report
- End of experience
The problem is not that they are useless — but that they are limited.
They assume:
- people don’t change
- answers are always consistent
- and a static report can define complex human potential
But real life doesn’t work that way.
People evolve through:
- experience
- environment
- failure
- reflection
This is why I started exploring a different approach with PotenAI.
Instead of static results, the idea is to use AI to create a dynamic self-discovery experience that adapts to each user over time.
Not a test — but an ongoing understanding process.
Still early stage, but I believe this space is just getting started.
What do you think?
Could AI replace traditional career assessments, or will it always be just an assistant tool?
