If you are a remote developer or an indie hacker, you probably know the feeling: You take your laptop, go to a local coffee shop or a coworking space to escape the isolation of your home office.

You sit there for 4 hours, typing away. You look around and see three other people with MacBooks, VS Code open, clearly working on something cool. But you never say hi. Why? Because interrupting someone with headphones on feels like a crime in the developer world. 😅

I realized that we are missing out on massive opportunities—finding a technical co-founder, a beta tester, or just a friend to debug with—simply because we don't know the intent of the person sitting next to us.

So, I decided to fix this and built TogetLink.

What is TogetLink?

Think of it as a low-pressure, high-intent radar for professional networking.

Instead of swiping on LinkedIn, you physically go to a workspace (like a local cafe, WeWork, or Kolektif House) and "check-in" on the platform. You set a simple status:

🔴 "Heads down coding, don't disturb."
🟢 "Building a SaaS MVP, open to chat/brainstorm over coffee!"

Suddenly, that stranger sitting across the room isn't just a stranger anymore. You know exactly what they are working on and if they are open to collaborating.

Bridging the Digital and Physical

We call this Phygital Networking. It brings the efficiency of digital matchmaking into the real world. As developers, we love building local community hubs, but we often lack the tools to actually connect when we are physically in them.

I just launched the beta version. It's heavily focused on the developer and startup ecosystem right now. If you are tired of building in isolation, I'd love for you to create a profile and do your first check-in.
