VoxPilot v0.4.2 is here 🎙️
This release solves a real pain point: long dictation getting cut off.
Previously, VoxPilot would auto-transcribe when you hit the max speech duration (default 15s) and deliver whatever it had — meaning long thoughts got chopped into disconnected fragments.
What's new
Multi-segment transcription automatically handles long speech:
- When you hit the max duration boundary mid-speech, VoxPilot transcribes that chunk silently in the background
- It keeps listening — you don't even notice the split
- When you actually stop talking, it transcribes the final segment and stitches everything together
- You get one clean, complete transcript delivered however you prefer (chat, cursor, clipboard)
No config needed. It works automatically with your existing maxSpeechDuration setting. Set it to 60s and dictate entire paragraphs — VoxPilot handles the rest.
Works everywhere
- ✅ Chat mode (VS Code / Kiro)
- ✅ Inline mode (insert at cursor)
- ✅ Voice commands (punctuation, delete that)
- ✅ Quick capture and toggle modes
- ✅ Transcript history captures the full stitched result
