Building AI Tools as a Developer: My Journey Into AI, Automation, and Modern Web Development

Hello everyone! šŸ‘‹

I'm starting my journey here on Dev.to to share what I learn while building AI-powered tools, exploring modern web technologies, and experimenting with automation.

Over the past few months, I have become deeply interested in how artificial intelligence is changing the way developers create software. From local AI models and large language models (LLMs) to AI-powered applications, there is an incredible amount happening in this space.

What I’m Exploring

My current focus areas include:

Building AI-powered web applications
Learning how large language models work
Exploring local AI and privacy-focused workflows
Improving my skills in JavaScript, React, and Python
Understanding automation and developer productivity tools
Why I’m Learning AI

AI is no longer just a research topic. It is becoming a powerful tool that developers can use to solve real-world problems.

A developer today can build applications that previously required entire teams:

AI assistants
Content automation systems
Research tools
Developer productivity platforms
Intelligent search experiences

The exciting part is that we are still at the beginning of this transformation.

My Goal

My goal is to continuously learn, build, and share practical knowledge with the developer community.

I want to document:

Things I build
Mistakes I make
Lessons I learn
Tools and technologies I discover

Hopefully, these posts can help other developers who are also exploring AI and modern software development.

What You Can Expect Here

I plan to write about:

AI development tutorials
Local LLM experiments
Web development projects
Automation workflows
Useful developer tools
Lessons from building real products

I’m excited to connect with other developers, creators, and AI enthusiasts here.

Why I Started Building TranscriptG

While working with video content, I noticed a common problem.

There are many tools available that can generate transcripts from videos, but most of them only solve one small part of the workflow.

When I explored different platforms, I found that many offered video transcription, but additional features were usually locked behind paid plans.

Features like:

  • Turning videos into complete blog articles
  • Translating transcripts into different languages
  • Summarizing long videos
  • Extracting important points and insights
  • Repurposing content for different platforms

were often limited or required expensive subscriptions.

I wanted to explore whether it was possible to build a more complete AI-powered workflow where creators could transform their video content into multiple useful formats without needing multiple separate tools.

That idea became the foundation of TranscriptG.

I’m continuing to improve it while learning more about AI, automation, and building useful developer-focused products.

If you are also learning AI or building interesting projects, feel free to say hello! šŸš€

Let's learn and build together.
