Meet the formerly incarcerated software engineers who built a no-police alternative to 911

I am very proud to share this piece about our amazing team who built Not911 as a response to the killing of George Floyd and subsequent protests. Read the whole story on Medium

Not911 is a mobile app for resolving community level issues without police involvement. It is available for download on Android devices and as a web app at http://not911.nyc.

"Being able to circumvent the police and still get your needs met is a beautiful thing." Not911 was built by Emergent Works, where teams are comprised of at least 50% justice-involved software engineers.

I love the mission of Emergent Works. Is there something like this in Australia?
