TrueForge
Running an agent for a team is the hard part, and that is what TrueForge is built for. It is an open source agent harness from TrueFoundry that runs the full execution loop for you: model calls, MCP tools, skills, sandboxing, approvals, context, and session state. Colleagues get a chat window, your app gets an HTTP API with a TypeScript SDK, and you can embed the UI in your own product. It works with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini, and runs locally with SQLite or hosted with Postgres and Redis. It launched on 19 August 2026 and now has 6,449 stars on GitHub. The latest release, version 0.184.2, shipped on 6 November 2026 under the MIT license.

If you found TrueForge interesting, I write about tools like this every week in The AI-Native Engineering Leader, what actually works for engineering leaders building with AI agents, and what to skip.
