Am i wasting my time

I Am a 19-year-old with no degree in computer science nor engineering.
But i have been studying ai for 3 years now, and still to tgis day i am learning and building projects.
How hard is it going to be for me to land a job in ai field?

I'm not a hiring expert in AI, so take the advice of folks who are deeper in the industry than I if they comment.

• If you're trying to work on the next GPT-4, you'll probably need some formal education as a foundation, or a lot of experience that paves the way into AI. Those type of products will be highly competitive and looking for specialists with deep subject matter expertise.
• If you're looking to adapt AI for B2C or B2B product features, you don't need a formal education, you can get into software engineering roles that perform this by simply building up experience over time.
• You're going to need to develop more than just hard skills to get a career role in technology - AI or otherwise. Keep that in mind.
