That's basically what happens when chip companies like d-Matrix build custom silicon and then try connecting it to everything else with their own homemade wiring.

NVIDIA's answer is NVLink Fusion, think of it as a direct pipe between the two kitchens instead of a truck. Data moves instantly, like it's all one giant kitchen.

Today, d-Matrix announced it's connecting its new Raptor XPU chips through this exact pipe instead of building its own connective infrastructure from scratch.

Here's the interesting Trade-off: build your entire own interconnect and stay fully independent, or plug into NVIDIA's ready-made highway and reach the market faster and cheaper while tying yourself to their standard. d-Matrix chose speed and lower risk over total independence.
