Hi everyone 👋
I’m new to the DEV Community!
I recently started learning JavaScript because of its versatility, and I’m planning to move deeper into backend development. While I’m exploring resources and learning step by step, I realized how valuable real-world experience can be.
For those of you who work in backend development:
What are some key tips, best practices, or lessons you wish you had known when you were starting out?
This could be about architecture, databases, APIs, security, performance, or even mindset.
I’d really appreciate hearing insights from experienced developers. Thanks in advance! 🙌

I wouldn't say I am experienced, nor I am a back-end developer.
I guess a good start would be taking a look at the roadmap for backend developers. It will give you a good idea on what the expectations are. You can check it out here: roadmap.sh/backend
Hope this helps!
