GOOGLE UPDATES

For the most part, Google has been releasing updates to Android twice a year. Google is always ready with a new and enhanced Android version. After the huge success of Android 10, Google is now ready to release Android 11.

Hey folks, are you ready to join the Android army? (just kidding). Android 11 is the next operating system inline by Google. Android 11 expected to be announced on May 12, 2020, and the final build will begin to roll out from October 2020 to all eligible phones.

What makes Android the Best OS?

WHAT EXCITING FEATURES ANDROID 11 HAS TO OFFER?

Bubbles

Android 11 will come with a feature called Bubbles' which is very much similar to Facebook chat heads. The feature acts like a bubble on the screen of your phone enabling you to multitask.

This is how you can make your Android App attractive

It is important to note that this feature will only work with Google's text messaging app and not with third-party apps such as WhatsApp. Bubbles API will be used by messaging and chat apps to enable this in Android 11.

Gestures

Strictly for Pixel 4, the Android 11 has also added some new air gestures for a couple of commands. With a simple hand gesture of almost tapping the phone, but not really touching it, the user can play or pause a song.Pixel 4 Soli radar chip is the main hero behind these new air gestures.

Airplane Mode Bluetooth are finally friends

In previous Android versions, we had experienced that Bluetooth is getting off when Airplane mode was turned on. Then we had to again turn Bluetooth on. This is an issue especially considering how popular Bluetooth earphones have been in recent times.

So now even when someone toggles on the Airplane mode, the Bluetooth won't get turned off and keep functioning perfectly.

Reverse Charging

In Android 11 we will see an option to share battery, which means that future Pixel devices will come with reverse wireless charging, and Pixel 5 will be the first one among them.

How cool is that, now we can share the battery too.

Biometric Security

In Android 11, it is easier than ever for a developer to use any biometric security. Android now includes categories for weak, strong, and device credential biometric hardware. In Android 10 a developer could only use what Google defined as secure biometrics: fingerprint scanners, iris scanners, and true 3D facial recognition.

One Time Permissions

Previously in Android 10, we had the feature to allow permission to access location, camera or microphone data only while the app is open. But with Android 11 we will have one-time permission settings that will enable usage permission only for a single time.

Motion Controls (for selective phones)

Users with Android 11 will be able to interact with apps without really touching screen if the bugs don't cause any major issues here. Pixel 4 comes with sensors that track air movement which will help to interact with apps without even touching them.

Dark Mode Scheduling

Android 11 will have a dynamic system-wide dark mode, this will change the setting on the device between dark mode and normal mode depending upon the time of use, that is depending on the fact as to whether it is day or night or evening time.

The release of the latest version of Google's Android OS is probably one of the most awaited events of the year. Google has every time has exceeded its user expectations and it doesn't seem to disappoint this year either. For Google its always about being the Best and the features Android 11 is coming up are itself a proof of it.

How can one be so excited by an OS that tracks your every move? I would like a more secure system, personally.
