Good work in silence
is not the same as good work.
If no one knows what you did,
you did it for the codebase,
not for your career.
But you hate self-promotion.
It feels gross. Loud. Not you.
So do it the quiet way.
Write the update nobody asked for.
"Here's what shipped and why it matters."
Not "look at me" —
just a clear record that exists.
Give credit loudly to others
and your name travels with it.
Explain your work
so people understand it,
not so they're impressed by it.
Visibility isn't bragging.
It's making sure the truth
about your work gets told at all.
Do the work. Then let it be seen.
