Your Manager Is Not a Mind Reader

You're hoping they notice.

That you want the promotion.
That you're bored and need a challenge.
That you'd move if the right thing opened.

They don't know.
They're not withholding —
they genuinely can't tell
what you haven't said.

Managers are busy,
juggling their own pressures,
and mind-reading isn't in the job.

So tell them.

"Here's the role I'm working toward."
"I'd like more of this kind of work."
"I'm ready for something bigger."

It feels bold. It's just clear.

Half the opportunities I've seen missed
weren't taken from people.
They were never asked for.

Say what you want, plainly,
to the person who can help.

The clearest thing you can do
for your own career
is stop making them guess.
