Intro
In Week 1, we shared how early feedback from readers helped us rethink parts of the BAINT demo.
This week, we’ve been thinking about a bigger
question:
What role should AI actually play in education?
The Fear Around AI in Classrooms
Whenever AI enters education, the first fear people mention is replacement.
Will AI replace teachers?
But history shows that educational tools rarely replace educators. Instead, they expand what teachers can do.
Learning Tools Have Always Evolved
Education has evolved through tools:
Abacus
Slide Rule
Chalkboards
Projectors
Computers
Each tool helped teachers teach better.
AI is simply the next step.
Where BAINT Fits
BAINT is being designed as an AI classroom assistant.
The goal is not to replace teachers, but to help students:
Ask questions freely
Clarify confusing concepts
Learn at their own pace
While teachers remain the center of the learning experience.
What We're Improving This Week
This week we focused on:
Improving the BAINT demo responses
Fixing context issues in answers
Listening more closely to early feedback
Closing
Building in public means learning as we go.
And every week helps us shape BAINT into something better for students and teachers.
