Since childhood, I have had a feeling that nature is one of the best sources of healing. Each time when I feel that life is getting too much for me, I somehow find myself out in nature. It has a unique ability to make one feel at ease.
In today's highly dynamic and constantly changing world, there is no other place than nature that one can visit and reconnect with oneself. Due to non-stop notification messages, hectic lifestyle, and distractions all around, taking time out for nature enables me to regain control of my life and escape the pressure created by the routine of life.
And now I know that at times the process of recovery can be quite easy. What it simply takes is going back to the basic stuff. For instance, hearing the sound of chirping birds in the early morning hours, or experiencing the heat of sun rays falling on my body, or watching leaves blowing with the wind.
All these simple actions would tell me one thing – that no matter what happens, life goes on. Allowing myself to feel that way helps me relax and find peace within.
Going out into nature allows me to become mindful in that I don't think about the difficulties that lie ahead or about those which have already been overcome. For what really counts is what is happening around me right now. And not just aesthetically, but because of its inspirational powers that allow my mind and soul to heal and rejuvenate.
