Is it heavier than node_modules?

According to a recent study conducted in March 2019 (see enclosed image below), it seems node_modules remain the heaviest objects on the universe.

Nothing is more deadly than a stampede of node_modules in the wild.

Fun fact: blue whale calves are actually so large they exceed the size and are half the mass of adult Bush elephants at birth.

"Females give birth to calves every two to three years. They remain pregnant for about one year before giving birth. When born, the blue whale calf is about 23 feet (7 m) long and weighs 5,000 to 6,000 pounds (2,267 to 2,722 kg). A nursing blue whale mother produces over 50 gallons (200 liters) of milk a day."

Only CSS babies are larger :)

I'm the author of PowerCSS, single page web applications (the book), and the hi_score SPA framework. Sorry, but CSS in no more a programming language than HTML 5. I enjoy and use them both, and they are declaritive languages. But neither are Turing complete.

Fwiw, the whole css pre-post processing ecosystem is mostly costs more than it benefits. Many people don't understand how and when styling directives should be generated (hint, run-time, not compile-time). Check out the for a discussion. Or my presentation "dump less and Sass for js-powered css" from 2014.
