Remember to Hydrate

Hydration is a term in webdev relating to server-side rendering of elements which are later imbued with dynamic behavior.

But I want to call out the other kind of hydration. Drinking water!

I'm not doctor, but I don't think this is controversial advice. Remember to hydrate throughout the day! I believe the most substantial difference in whether I feel energized or exhausted by the end of the day is whether I have properly hydrated throughout. Placing a big glass of water on my desk in the morning is all it takes. If the water is there, I will remember to drink it. If it's not, I might forget to drink enough water throughout the day.

Happy coding and hydrating!

I hydrate every time i code

Each generated HTML is associated with minimal JavaScript code necessary for that page. When a page is loaded by the browser, its JavaScript code runs and makes the page fully interactive. (This process is called hydration.)

Such a good reminder! 💧

I'd like to also note the importance of:

  • standing up once an hour and stretching
  • breathing deep (deep enough to make your belly rise!)
  • and follow the 20/20/20 rule (for every 20 minutes you spend looking at a screen, you should look away at something that is 20 feet away from you for a total of 20 seconds)

Thanks for the helpful advice! That's decent evidence that you are reading my posts. GG. I always conclude my articles with some good advice like drinking water and such because, unfortunately, we are biological beings who rely on basic needs. Hopefully, we will evolve into advanced creatures that don't rely on the stuff of that sort in the future. Hold up, what?

Anyways, let's keep spreading the words of wisdom, brah.

doesn't the water get too warm before you reach the end, or do you run to your ice cube tray always?

Recently watched a video on YT, can't recall which, I was browsing, and in the middle of the video there was a water break to go fetch and drink a glass of water. I found it really wholesome and got up and filled my water bottle.

true ! also to exercise, we are bound to desktops each day maybe for more than 7 hours for most of us so we risk a lot about that our parents didn't have such conditions.

I myself exercise each day at a nearby parc and imagine after few months I feel so much better. I exercise each day for only 15-20 minutes because I'm lazy and it works !!!

Sure, so does beer and yet both coffee and beer are known to be dehydrating. Which is why, I suspect, across the Mediterranean, you can commonly find a glass of water served with a coffee.

It depends on the country, but yes. Jokes aside, it is important to hydrate yourself :)

Last year, I ran across an article that said it's better to hydrate in larger quantities during meals, so I have been using a tall glass with breakfast and lunch and a small glass during the day.

Hey I just made my first post, it asks a lot of questions but one is what kind of rendering do you use - do you even think about it.

I would love some feedback from anybody interested in reducing the carbon footprint of the web - of course flushing your body is a vital aspect of life and I think I have earned a drink of water.

There's a calculator for that! hydrationforhealth.com/en/hydratio...

There's an app for that!
play.google.com/store/apps/details...

I use that app for hydration tracking and it motivates me to achieve my daily intake goals.

Folks stay hydrated!
