Then moved on to msfjarvis.website for a brief period, finally settling on msfjarvis.dev. I still own msfjarvis.website to redirect people to the new domain, and it still gets about ~10% of the hits my .dev domain does so clearly the renewal was a smart choice...

I'm really happy with how it turned out. Considering its an idea I've had in my head for a couple of years, I can count the amount of development time from starting to going live in days!
Lots more to do, but my advice would be to just get stuck in. You might find the project you have in mind is achievable with minimal effort or maybe you'll find out you bit of more than you could chew (which is exactly what I expected). Either way:
