My First Chrome Extension: TaskQueue 🚀

Hey Developers! 👋

I’m really excited to share my first-ever software project: TaskQueue, a Chrome extension that helps you set up focused/deep work sessions faster and with less hassle. I came up with the idea because I was tired of how much time it took to get into the zone. I’d use a notes app to write down my goals, a separate to-do list app for tasks, and then set up a timer on YouTube or Google. Half the time, I’d get distracted by other videos or search results, and before I knew it, I’d wasted 20 minutes.

TaskQueue fixes all that by keeping everything in one place. You can quickly add tasks with descriptions and tick boxes, and it comes with preset timers: 25 minutes for Pomodoro, and 60 or 90 minutes for deep work. There’s even a simple timer notification sound to let you know when your session’s done, and a night mode for late-night productivity. It’s designed to help you dive into work without distractions or extra steps.

Right now, TaskQueue is completely free, and I’d love for people to try it out and tell me how it can be better. In the future, I’m thinking of adding premium features like recurring tasks, batch task additions, and breaking down larger tasks into smaller steps. If all goes well, I’m planning to launch the premium version next month.

This is my first time building software, and I’m figuring things out as I go. If you check it out, I’d really appreciate any feedback—no pressure, though! Here’s the link to the Chrome Web Store:

Thanks for reading, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts! 😊
