Finally managed to get back into React today after weeks of mental fog. There's something satisfying about the predictability of code - it does exactly what you tell it to, no hidden agendas.
My friend and I decided to start serious project work from the 24th, but I'm already dreading the ML integration part. Being at level 0 in technical skills means every new concept feels like trying to drink from a fire hose.
The Human Element
Had an interesting conversation today with someone who seemed genuinely nice. Mid-conversation, I caught myself thinking about how everyone's essentially born on the same playing field. We just convince ourselves some people are different.
But nice people don't stay nice forever. It's a pattern I've observed enough times to trust it. Maybe that's why I gravitate toward code - it's brutally honest about what it is.
The Isolation Default
I used to think getting attached was a skill I never developed. Now I'm wondering if it's actually a feature, not a bug. When you expect people to eventually show their true colors, their inevitable shift doesn't sting as much.
Tomorrow's another day of React and reality checks. At least one of those is predictable.
