Day 40: When Easy Stops Being Hard

The Shift Nobody Talks About

Two months ago, I'd stare at a LeetCode easy problem like it was written in ancient hieroglyphics. The syntax looked familiar but the logic felt foreign. Fast forward to today - I knocked out an easy and attempted a medium before most people had their morning coffee.

This isn't a humble brag. It's documentation of something weird that happens when you code consistently: competence sneaks up on you.

Family vs Focus

Had to make a choice today between family obligations and staying in the zone. Chose the laptop. Some people might call that antisocial or selfish, but here's what I've learned in 40 days: not all environments are created equal.

Some drain you. Others fuel you. Learning to distinguish between the two is a skill nobody teaches you in tutorials.
The Compound Effect is Real

Day 1: Couldn't solve FizzBuzz without Google
Day 20: Easy problems still felt intimidating
Day 40: Easy problems are just warmup

The progression isn't linear. It's not even visible most days. But somewhere between struggling with basic syntax and building ML models, something clicked.

What Changed

It's not that I got smarter. It's that I got comfortable being uncomfortable. I stopped expecting every session to feel like a breakthrough and started showing up regardless of how I felt.
Today I worked on React components and ML models. Nothing revolutionary, nothing that'll trend on Twitter. But 40 days ago, this combination would've been impossible.
