Another day in the books, and honestly, it's been one of those reality-check kind of days.
The Day That Started Wrong
Woke up to no water in the hostel. Because apparently, basic amenities are suggestions now. Then got dragged into two lab sessions with simulators that probably last saw an update when flip phones were trendy.
The Learning Paradox
I speedran through React, React Router, Tailwind, and JavaScript all in one session. Felt like I was on fire, absorbing everything, making connections. Then I opened my "Mutiny" project and just... froze.
Blank screen. Blank mind. Overwhelming everything.
It's this weird paradox where learning everything somehow feels like knowing nothing when you actually need to build something real. Tutorial hell is real, and it's not just about following along - it's about that terrifying gap between "I understand this concept" and "I can create something from scratch."
Location, Location, Location
Came back early from the library today and immediately remembered why I can't study in my room. My bed has some serious gravitational pull, and my focus has zero resistance to it. There's something about library studying that hits different - maybe it's the strangers around you unconsciously holding you accountable,
Random Life Updates
Cleaning my room tonight and planning to get back to working out the day after tomorrow. This wrist situation isn't improving, but I can't let it derail everything else.
Oh, and here's and yeah - my culture teacher casually mentioned that dating while hustling isn't necessarily a bad idea. Probably the only piece of advice I took seriously from any professor this semester. Maybe it's time to give it a shot?
The Decision Ahead
Now I'm faced with a choice: dive into mini projects to build confidence, or push through the intimidation and tackle Mutiny head-on. Both have their merits. Mini projects feel safer but might be another form of procrastination. Mutiny feels overwhelming but could be the breakthrough I need.
For now, I'm just going to sleep on it. Tomorrow's another day to figure out which path leads forward rather than just sideways.
Sometimes the most mundane days teach you the most about yourself. Today taught me that learning and building are completely different muscles, and I need to start exercising the building one more seriously.
