So here's the thing about learning to code - life doesn't give a damn about your 30-day challenges or your perfectly planned study schedules.
Day 8 update: Tried to stay off my phone to focus better. Spoiler alert - relatives crashed at my place instead. One of the kids is literally making bird noises as I type this.
Started diving into scikit-learn today because, you know, machine learning sounds cool and employable. But holy hell, this documentation assumes I already have a PhD in statistics. Five lines in and my brain started filing a formal complaint.
The tutorials throw around terms like "feature scaling" and "cross-validation" like I should be nodding along knowingly. Meanwhile, I'm here googling "what is a feature anyway" and questioning my life choices.
Here's what I learned today (the hard way):
Sometimes your study environment is chaos, and that's okay
Documentation writers apparently live in a different dimension where everyone knows everything
Progress isn't always linear, and that's fine too
No motivational quotes here. No "hustle harder" nonsense. Just honest reality: some days you learn a lot, some days you learn that learning is harder than you thought.
Tomorrow I'll probably try a different approach. Maybe start with the basics instead of jumping into the deep end of ML.
What resources do you recommend for someone who wants to understand the 'why' before the 'how'?
