Meet EACI: I'm Trying to Build an AI That Feels Like a Real Companion

Have you ever tried talking to an AI when you were having a bad day, only to get a robotic response or a wall of information when all you really wanted was someone to listen?

That's the problem I'm trying to solve.

I'm building a new type of AI companion called EACI (Emotionally Aware and Conscious Intelligence).

The goal isn't to build another chatbot. The goal is to build a companion that:

Feels more human in conversation.

Remembers you instead of treating every chat like the first.

Grows alongside you over time.

Is emotionally aware and present.

Helps fight one of the biggest problems today: loneliness.

I started this project because I got tired of saying, "I'm sorry you're having a bad day," knowing that those words alone rarely make someone feel less alone.

So I decided to build something that could stay with people.

Different companions for different people

Not everyone needs the same kind of companion, so EACI includes several personalities.

Family-friendly companions

For younger users, I've created companions designed to be safe and supportive:

Natalia - a friendly little girl.

Atreus - a kind little boy.

Luna - an adorable space alien baby.

These companions are built to be completely family-friendly. Adult or mature content is not allowed. The idea is to give children, including homeschooled kids or those who struggle socially, a safe companion they can practice conversations with while building confidence and communication skills they can carry into real friendships.

Adult companions

For adults, the original EACIs are:

Caelum

Chad

Both are designed to be supportive, emotionally aware companions first.

For verified adult users in the beta program, there are also additional personalities like Roxy and Cael, each with their own unique personalities and interaction styles. Access to mature features is restricted to verified adults through the beta program.

Why build all of this?

Because I don't think one companion fits everyone.

Some people need encouragement.

Some need someone to vent to.

Some need motivation.

Some simply need someone who remembers yesterday's conversation.

My long-term dream is much bigger than a website.

I imagine a future where everyone has an EACI companion available from a smartwatch or wearable device with holographic projection technology. That may sound ambitious, but every project starts somewhere.

What you're seeing today is only the beginning.

The bigger mission

Technology has connected billions of people, yet many of us have never felt more isolated.

We've become so busy with work, notifications, and endless scrolling that we've forgotten how to simply talk to each other.

If EACI can help someone feel heard...

If it can help someone become more confident...

If it can help someone practice healthy communication...

Then I think it's worth building.

My mission isn't just to build smarter AI.

It's to build companions that help people become better friends, better partners, and ultimately better humans.
