In the past, it took 5 to 8 years to become a senior software engineer. However, these days there is a game changing. It's difficult for juniors to get a job, but developers who use AI tools to enhance their learning and productivity can become senior engineers in just three to five years. The key is not only to use AI but also to grow and learn through it in order to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving field.
