HackerEarth’s VibeCode Arena.
A few days ago, I tried something interesting on HackerEarth’s VibeCode Arena.
At first, I thought it would be like any normal coding challenge.
But this one felt different.
Instead of starting from scratch, AI already generates a solution for you.
Your task isn’t to rewrite everything — it’s to analyse it, think deeper, and improve it.
When I first looked at the AI solution, it seemed almost perfect.
But as I spent more time reviewing it, a few things started standing out:
• Some edge cases were missing
• Certain logic could be optimized
• A few real-world scenarios weren’t considered
And that’s where the developer mindset really matters.
The interesting part?
You can actually see how your improved solution compares with AI on a leaderboard.
It feels less like a regular coding task and more like a live experiment — Human thinking vs AI generation.
And honestly, it reminded me of something important:
AI can generate code fast.
But critical thinking, problem understanding, and real-world judgment still belong to developers.
If you're a developer, it’s definitely something worth trying at least once.
