I have to confess - I have several great articles bookmarked over the past few months that I am still trying to catch up π©βπ».
- Do you have a set schedule to catch up with bookmarked articles?
- If tutorials are posted on Dev or any other blogging platform, do you try them out?
- Any best practices around blogging platform(s) usage you would like to share?
Thanks!

Hello, here's my two cents:
Not really. I usually bookmark an article when I want to check the comments later. But I have this problem with bookmarks in general where I bookmark lots of stuff and simply forget about them. π₯΄
Usually, I only look for tutorials when I'm learning something specific so tutorials are more of a thing that I write than read around here. π
Regarding blog platforms, I quit Medium after they started paywalling everything and never went back. Publishing on a personal website doesn't work for me because I hate promoting my content.
A great think about DEV as a blogging platform is that if you write something really good you can be sure that your audience will find it, even if you are not internet famous.
Thanks for sharing your view!
Happy to help π
Bookmarked Articles
I don't have any sort of set schedule, but I do try to treat my bookmarks like my inbox (and I practice inbox zero), so the bookmark number stays pretty low. If I don't want to lose something long term, I will save/bookmark it in some other way depending on how sure I want to be of finding it later.
Tutorials
I only do tutorials if they're relevant to something I already wanted to learn. Generally, I'll attempt to learn something on my own first. And I prefer video tutorials, so I rarely do tutorials from here (unless there's a video).
I like your idea of treating bookmarks like inbox. I should try that. Thanks for sharing!
Dev actually has an archive for saved articles, so itβs very inbox-like
