Last month, we opened up early bird tickets for the fourth annual CodeLand conference, originally scheduled to be hosted in NYC this July.
Due to the Coronavirus crisis, we’ve decided to shift our efforts away from an in-person event, and towards a fully virtual experience. Today we are formally announcing CodeLand:Distributed, a 2-day remote conference (July 23-24).
We have also significantly reduced ticket prices to help make the conference more affordable than ever. The first day of talks and remote networking is now accessible to everyone on a pay-what-you-want model (as little as $0) and the second day of workshops is just $25 USD.
We’re embracing this change as an opportunity to put on a truly wonderful event for a much wider group of attendees all around the globe. We’re excited that more developers of all backgrounds and experience levels will be able to join us for thought-provoking discussions, hands-on workshops, fun surprises, and serendipitous networking opportunities.
We’ll still have two days of inspiring talks and educational workshops designed to level up your career. We’ll still have our industry’s best speakers and up-and-coming innovators. Our team is dedicated to making sure that the CodeLand:Distributed experience reflects the positive energy, inclusion and value that you have come to expect.
Come July, the global coding community will need opportunities to come together more than ever, as we all cope with social distancing and ongoing health crisis. Please mark this event on your calendar and RSVP early.
We’re looking forward to creating a unique space for the community to gather, learn, and draw inspiration from one another.
Join us by grabbing your ticket today.
Happy Coding!
P.S. We have refunded all ticket purchases for CodeLand:NYC. If you are one of these ticket holders and have not already received an email from us, please let us know at codeland@codenewbie.org. Additional questions may also be answered on our updated FAQs.

Hi there!
It is great that you have arranged a distributed event this year! It's awesome work for all the organizing team! I assume that as the event was going to be held in the USA the agenda of events would be in USA timezone, right?
I'm based in Spain so I'm just wondering what time would start/end for people in Europe or even around the world!
Many thanks!
What time and timezone each day will the conference be running? Might help some of us outside America figure out whether we will need to sacrifice sleep to attend 😊
So great :) Especially love how making this conference distributed will also make it accessible to more people. Go DEV!
Eventhough stituation is not great, it makes it easier for many people to get a hands on and attend such events. Specially for those who cannot travel just for one event.
So glad to see this continue. Now on to the registration! Yay!
Thanks Jess! This is great news.
I'd love to share this around on Social. Could you let me know what the start time and finish times are so I can pass that on for folks who are not in the US East timezone?
I was hoping to go to my first in-person conference this year but it looks like that's not going to happen. 😂 It's for a good reason though. People need to stay safe. I'm really looking forward to this! Already got it all marked down on my calendar. 😁
I know it is for a bigger reason and I love you guys, but Damm I am sad :(
I have been looking forward for this since Codeland 2019 ended 😂
I sit hope I get to give my workshop tho ❤️
Sending love, hugs and good vibes for you all ❤️❤️❤️
I know. CodeLand IRL will be back in 2021. Not only is the world reeling right now, CodeLand is set to happen in the city that's basically becoming the epicenter for COVID—19.
But CodeLand:Distributed will be a really great experience and we hope to see you there!
*2021, right?! 😅
