Join the KendoReact Free Components Challenge: $5,000 in Prizes!

We are so delighted to partner with Progress to bring the community a brand new DEV challenge.

Running through March 23, the KendoReact Free Components Challenge is all about showcasing what you can build with KendoReact's powerful free components.

From data grids to toolbars to form components and more, KendoReact offers a comprehensive suite of UI components that every React developer should experience building with. With 50+ free components available, you'll have everything you need to build an impressive application.

We have one prompt for this challenge but three ways to win. Read on to get started!

Our Prompt

For this challenge, your mandate is to build a React app of your choice that utilizes at least 10 KendoReact Free components.

You are free to build any type of application that showcases these components. Whether it's a dashboard, a productivity app, a personal portfolio, or something completely unique - we want to see what you can create with KendoReact.

And for those of you who prefer some structure, we have two additional prize categories for you to consider!

Prize Categories

  • AIm to Impress: Awarded to a top submission that integrates GenAI technology into their project.
  • Delightfully Designed: Awarded to a submission with an especially good UI design that used either the KendoUI Figma Kits and/or Progress ThemeBuilder during app creation.

Prizes

Our prompt winner (1) will receive:

Our prize category winners (2) will receive:

All Participants with a valid submission will receive a completion badge on their DEV profile.

How To Participate

In order to participate, you will need to publish a post using the submission template provided. All submissions must use at least 10 KendoReact free components.

  • For those interested in the Delightfully Designed category:
    • ThemeBuilder requires creation of a Telerik account but has a sufficient free tier. Figma UI Kits are available for free in the Figma community.
    • Be sure to take in-progress screenshots of how you utilized ThemeBuilder of Figma UI Kits to include in your submission.

We can't wait to see what you build!

Challenge Submission Template

Please review our judging criteria, rules, guidelines, and FAQ page before submitting so you understand our participation guidelines and official contests rules such as eligibility requirements.

Tools like Page Speed Insights and Google Lighthouse are great for providing advice for front end performance issues. But what these tools can’t do, is evaluate performance across your entire stack of distributed services and applications.
