Hello everyone!
I'm a long-time wanna-be developer, and have recently gotten back into disciplined learning routines with Codecademy, and a couple other online courses on Youtube. I'm also a self-taught novice in SwiftUI and feel fairly confident deploying basic iOS applications.
I found dev.to through Codecademy and I'm excited to connect and learn from the connections that I make on here.
Yo. We can follow each other on Github and LinkedIn!
Just followed on both!
I have good news for you: You're already a developer! π
Nice to meet you! I come from a self taught background, my biggest piece of advice is to always remember your 'why'. Remember why you are taking these steps to learn and use that as motivation!
Welcome to Dev community

Alright, that will be cool.
hello everyone!
I am a management graduate and I felt very stuck when I couldn't find a job so i leaned a little into basic HTML coding and found it very interesting. Technical knowledge is new to me and it makes me feel productive and a little bit better about myself. I hope to learn coding and find better opportunities in the future.
Hi! Welcome to our community!
hey if its not much of a bother then could you please give me some advice?
I can give some tips that I think are important for every programmer, regardless of technologies and directions.
Practice. Theoretical knowledge is great, especially if it is fundamental, but to consolidate knowledge you need to practice a lot, write code and solve errors when something doesn't work.
Do not hurry with studying. It's better to spend a year or two of time and become a good beginner than to skip over important knowledge quickly.
Find what you are interested in. The programming world is big, and if you don't like web development, you can always try something else.
