Originally from Ohio, I now reside in California for the time being, after 3 years in North Carolina, and 2 years in Japan before that! I currently work as an avionics electronics technician in the military, but will be changing my job to intelligence here soon.
I have always been incredibly fascinated by tech and computers, but as I am in my mid-twenties, I have more of a drive than ever to attempt to learn about how these things we call computers work and how I can add to the advancement of this technology. I am FAR from being a novice in this pursuit, and still consider myself a baby-beginner, as I've never fully escaped tutorial h*ll and have never taken on any projects of my own.

I've always been drawn to backend development. I consistently catch myself asking "What goes on after I press this button?" It's funny how much we think we know about the internet, but there is just so much out there. I am learning about HTTP and servers currently and as simple as this stuff might seem on the surface (HTTP, DNS, IP, client/server relationships) it is not! At least to me lol.

I’m a Computer Engineering graduate who pivoted into full-stack software engineering about four years ago. Since then, I’ve worked across multiple startups, where I learned the fast-paced side of building products and also ran head-first into one of the biggest headaches in the industry: infrastructure deployments. Those years showed me that shipping features is only half the battle—the other half is making sure environments stay consistent, configs don’t drift, and “it works on my machine” doesn’t become the blocker everyone dreads.
Over time, I found myself drawn deeper into the world of servers and terminals. I turned my home lab into a mini-cloud, running Dockerized apps, reverse proxies, and CI/CD pipelines, experimenting with how far I could push production-grade setups on my own hardware. My name is Arihant, I go by Ari its just easier on everyone, I am currently 3 classes away from graduating with my masters in Computer Science. However, I did my bachelors in Microbiology and worked for 1 year in a hospital laboratory before transitioning to computer science.
