In the spirit of celebrating small wins, I finally published my project website with vite to gh-pages successfully after several (...quite a lot...) attempts.
I managed to get T-SQL to render an HTML email using Vue/angular style binding and interpolation against an XML data set. It also supports multiple nested levels.
I also wrote code to take an XML datamap and apply it against a flattened dataset to produce the XML expected by the email template
Time for a lie down...
I got +300 downloads in my package on NPM
npm.im/quicky-server
Installing Fedora! I'm really liking it!
Although there are some hiccups it's an amazing distro!
I delivered 3 conference talks at 2 conferences, including my first out-of-state conference!
Woaaa!! 3 talks in 1 week. That's awesome!
Yeah, I've done two in a week before at the same conference, but never two conferences in the same week. Felt like a seasoned pro.
Decent article
13 steps for Authentication Flow in Backend
My win this week is done writing all the articles for clients.
My win this week was that I started open source contribution. I successful merged 4 prs under hacktoberfest.
Looking forward to contribute more
I had a quite difficult meeting on the job, and created the "weapons card" for dire moments, as an answer to the classical "planning poker" in Agile.
(maybe I should have saved this pun for a post, but I'm quite too tired to prepare it this week š“ )
Haha!! Brutal! Love it.
For a second I was thinking that the weapons were in the shape of letters and spelling something out. I sat here for a few minutes puzzling before I realized nahhh, that's not happening. š
Well... that could be a nice idea for the next time š”š„·š»
but no, the guys just got the joke and it helped.. a bit.. against the stress.
Finally got arangodump and arangorestore to work š
Arangodb doesn't have many hosting solutions, and the ones that exist arent very mature (except for the official one, which is expensive). I didn't have a way of running imports/exports through the dashboard, and it doesn't help that the error messages aren't descriptive when you try to perform them manually over the wire. Just cryptic things & docs don't make them any clearer. Wrong port? Wrong protocol? Wrong hostname? Wrong password? Who knows š
So it was a lot sparse trial and error over the course of the week until it finally worked lol
