Is low-code / no-code just a fad? Or is it here to stay?
Check out the infographic below to find out how low-code is becoming part of the evolution of software engineering.

if my software were useful for you, it's really much appreciated

Love that last graphic mate
Thanks Thomas! Trying out a new format and glad to hear you like it!
As an engineer who writes code, I'll admit I'm biased. But I can't see it no-code tools taking over.
Surely any application with enough complexity would be easier to write with code rather than some no-code GUI tool.
Maybe these tools are useful for basic apps, the same way Wix/Squarespace are ok for basic websites.
At Five.Co (the low-code company I'm a co-founder of) we've set ourselves the challenge of convincing software engineers of low-code....it's not an easy task! 😁
I agree with you in saying that no-code GUIs that are Wix-like aren't the right tools for trained engineers. But the reality is that no-code tools are very different from low-code tools:
(1) No-Code tools are designed to eliminate code.
(2) Low-Code tools are designed to make software engineering more efficient, and do not eliminate code.
Unfortunately, these two categories often get mixed up and are considered the same, though they couldn't be more different. Someone without training in software engineering would certainly struggle in a low-code tool...especially when it comes to things like writing JS, SQL right inside the platform.
naaa, the future its VR + code development
How would you bring the two together?
Python IS older than PHP
True! Thanks for pointing this out!
