I'm a newbie and passionate about web development, but the problem i'm currently encountering is that I don't readily have a laptop to put into practice the little I have learnt so far. Would you recommend any text editor that I can use with my mobile phone?

You could have a look at some online editors such has Codepen, JSFiddle, JSBin, Codesandbox, there's a handful more out there. Not sure how they'll perform on mobile though, it's not really the go to for web dev.
